So it has come to this.
In easily our stupidest podcast idea ever, Dan, Brian, and new guy Collin taste test eight different varieties of Mountain Dew, then try to guess their sugar content. We hit the standards — original and Code Red — and sneak in some more exotic selections. Collin, one of the world’s biggest Mountain Dew fans, guides Dan and Brian through a chemical-flavored, rainbow-colored taste test.
Listen as Dan laments losing all sense of taste, Brian shares his theory about Pepsi Blue, and Collin storms out in the first-ever Earn This rage quit.

I love the idea of tasting a lineup of Mountain Dew flavors. This is exactly the kind of inspired podcasting we need.
Now, I don’t drink much soda these days, so I can’t really imagine drinking Dew without playing video games late into the night. Y’all sound like you drink it in more normal settings, but what do you do with all that sugar? Jitter at work to burn calories? It’s not a great stand-in for Gatorade when you’re playing disc… it’s basically designed to get you wired so you can ramp up the APM and focus on your targets (or mash buttons and yell foul language). As a reference point, the American Heart Association recommends a daily limit of 36 grams of sugar for adult men.
I can’t believe Baja Blast was put last. #ragequit
